DA Pre-Commit Program

The Harris County District Attorney's Office offers the Post Bar Fellowship program, our version of the traditional Summer Associate program, for recent law school graduates and 3L students. As a Post Bar Fellow, you'll have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in criminal prosecution, having nearly all the duties and responsibilities of a full-fledged prosecutor while you await your bar results.

The best part? Successfully complete the program and once you pass the bar you will be sworn in by the District Attorney and begin your exciting career in the best office in the land. Our Fellows routinely appear in court to handle dockets, hearings, and full first-chair jury trials. In addition, Post Bar Fellows have extensive hands-on and in-class training through our yearly Post Bar Academy, where some of the best and most experienced prosecutors in the country train our Post Bar class on everything from procedure to trial technique.
