About Us
Our Guiding Principles
Justice Above All
Our primary responsibility as prosecutors is to seek justice. We are committed to upholding the law in a manner that respects the rights of the accused while prioritizing the safety of our community. Every decision is guided by a commitment to truth, fairness, and the greater good.
Empathy and Efficiency
Our experienced prosecutors will identify the difference between a good case we should pursue in the name of justice and a case not supported by probable cause that will clog up our system and divert valuable resources from our mission of keeping our community safe.
Transparency and Accountability
We recognize that the public’s trust in our office is essential. We will operate with transparency, from case prosecution to policy development.
Voice for Victims and Survivors
We are dedicated to providing comprehensive support to survivors of crime, especially those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and gun violence. Our office will ensure that victims are not only protected but have access to the necessary resources for healing and recovery.
Reform and Innovation
We understand that the criminal justice system must evolve to meet the needs of our community. We will push for meaningful reforms in areas such as bail policy, diversion programs for nonviolent offenders, and alternatives to incarceration.
Collaboration and Community Engagement
We know that a strong and fair criminal justice system is built through cooperation. Our office will work closely with local law enforcement, elected officials, community organizations, and the public to improve the safety and well-being of Harris County.
Equal Justice Under the Law
We believe in a justice system where all individuals are treated equally, regardless of their background, race, or socio-economic status. We are committed to eradicating bias in our office and ensuring that every person is given a fair opportunity to be heard in the courtroom.
