What You'll Do
Most interns work in Felony or Misdemeanor courts, observing and assisting with courtroom proceedings.
Build courtroom confidence through targeted training. Learn how to better talk with crime victims by practicing trauma-informed communication.
Assist with witness meetings, review and evaluate defendants’ statements, and provide trial prep support.
If you qualify for a Student Bar Card, you may participate in real courtroom work such as: probable cause hearings, guilty pleas, pretrial motions, or assisting in jury trials.
Showcase your advocacy skills in the HCDAO Intern Closing Argument Competition.
